Hi and welcome Hampus! Not sure about this and your model might differ a bit from ours. Often when one upgrades to a larger calliper one doesn't get the proper benefit because the master is undersized for the volume of brake fluid utilised by the bigger callipers. Yup, looks like the creative wiring extends somewhere behind the dash and what you say sounds very likely .... moving the wires about has very possibly cleared the short (temporarily - it will resurface again).

Re: Fitting a DIY catch can on kzte
Dafaaq is a catchcan? On old motors it's worse, but even on new motors there is always a little blow-by on the piston rings resulting in positive crankcase pressure. This has to be relieved, so that's why there is a crankcase breather that leads those gasses off from behind a baffle plate in the to...

Hi Morgan, one normally fits a shock with a longer travel if you have lifted the suspension. However, 40mm is not excessive and since you plan on fitting an integrated bumper that's going to add weight in the front, you might find that the ride height will end up being close to standard. So standard...

Beefing up the front suspension is always a good idea with the heavier bumper. The bumper itself doesn't add too much weight, but it's the overhang in front that causes it to impact the suspension. Actuator motors are prone to getting all 'gunked up' inside. Water ingress messes up the grease and over time it tends to solidify. This may or may not be the cause of your problem, but it's worth while to remove the actuator, strip, clean and re-pack with fresh grease.
