How much does Toyota charge to plug in that diagnostic goody? They should be able to give you a report that will point out if one of the sensor(like the MAF) is klaar.

Many of the other decent service centres like Diesel Electric should also be able to give you a diagnostic report!

Sounds good, but the part about cycling the power supply to a residence on/off up to 5 times sounds very bad! I've heard of alot of appliances being damaged with the current regime of loadshedding... it recently killed my house alarm pc board! I can imagine that this will kill even more appliances! ...

Just a quick update... that LED work light is flipping awesome! Had to route a telephone cable in the house roof last night... used the lamp for lighting, the magnet in the base is super strong... stuck the lamp on the roof truss joint plates... perfect down lighting!

We used them for our office ADSL for the last 3 years or so, but switched over to WebAfrica because to the network issues they had towards the end of last year. Yup... best my V6 has got is 8km/l on the open road... in congested town driving... anything from 5 - 6km/l... depending on the right foots mood! Must admit I've thought about trading the V6 in on a 3L D4D... in fact I've test driven a few D4D's... then I get back in the V6 and those D4D's are soon ...

Hopefully the Jonkershoek fire doesn't negatively affect this event. My nephews camp at Okie Jooste was cancelled just before they were supposed to leave on Wednesday morning. I heard yesterday that the fire had advanced onto the Lourensford farm. Hopefully it's been contained.

What they are not saying is that Medupi generator unit 6 was supposed to start delivering power to the grid before Koeberg took reactor 1 offline for scheduled maintenance from 9 Fed to some time in May. So now they have a 3 month period with a loss of 800-900mw for power in the grid. Won't surprise...

I've got a seperate DB board in the garage for all "outside" circuits(pool, workshop and lights)... at the pool pump itself there's 2 plugs, one for pump and another for the chlorinator unit... So testing should be possible... if you need to tweak and hack that's fine too! Bretton we are ...

the battery-pv panel combo sounds correct. the size of the inverter is a totally different story !! you could decide to use that to drive a 100W load for multiple hours - with a small inverter. OR - should you decide this is for your pc and printer .... well the printer (laser unit) alone will push...

If done right, yes! I made 2 mods to my standard 4Y 65kw motor... cam modification and efi... ended up at 92kw!

Go take a look at the dynocharts page for the results guys get with the 22R!

Know of 2 22R turbo conversions... both are extremely problematic... turbo is a bugger when driving obstacles offroad!

What about EFi... EFi manifolds are scarce for that engine, but at least it's a very reliable option!
