Frozen meat is not a problem. Only thing is you will have to cut the meat from the bone,so it is going to be very small pieces indeed George... when my aunt brought the lamb last night for me to dry... cuts was very small. i was afraid it would be to thin for my plastic hooks.. which is about 3-5mm...

So my aunt asks me yesterday if i can make her some biltong from the mutton / lamb chops she has in the freezer.

Ignoring the costs implications of it being more expensive.. is it viable?

was not to sure how to reliably test it with standard multimeter. conflicting reports say you need special capacitor meter to accurately test...
it was bulging at top, and had slight rust marks... at R10 each.. better just to replace it.

i have run the thought in my head about building steel frame and galvanising it for protection.
since steel easier to weld (i could even do it myself albeit not very good), but i assume it's just for the weight factor that aluminium is preferred ?

my one rear window also seems to be a bit sticky... it goes up smooth till certain point and then just slows down, till fully closed... i'm thinking maybe rubber at that point bit worn... maybe you have same problem ??? doubt it would cause window not to close, but worth a mention...

had the same problem with the suzie...
regas sorted it out, but also found a slight leak on the connector where they refill... so it would need a refill again soon, or needed to be replaced.
have check for leaks before refill...

mine is the standard rubber kind.. no leather. rubber just busy rubbing of on my hand. has become bit brittle from sun exposure.
could one have it covered in leather? Any recommendations in CT? it might be a bit thick though?

Vian, i'm quite surprised you had to put in spacers or do any mods. Is that not the standard size for the later model vigo?
I know the earlier vigos came standard with 15s / 16s. I've got same tyres on as you but can't say i noticed any scrapping... maybe i did not go offroad enough :mocking:

Welcome Chris. I had two of these. A S/C and D/C. On road, slow as an ox, and ride just as uncomfortable. But once you hit offroad, all those slow kidney bashing onroad worries are forgotten when you see how capable that little 2.2 engine is. Just learn to use it to it's full low end torque potential.
