Hi Tristan, to answer your other question. There is definatly an increase in power. I struggled to keep my speed down to 100 during the test. I normally use 2nd gear to pull away from a stop street, but now I can do it in 3rd.

It was a mixture of town and country driving. I kept to a steady 100 on the open road.stopping at lights etc brought the average speed down to 76KPH on the GPS.

Hi Eric, I put the gasifiers in parallel which gave me 12.4 volts on each with the engine running, now there is lots of gas from both units.

Ya Eric, I was following the instructions, but I wondered why the units were in series. The gasifiers weren't producing much gas at all. Tomorrow I will wire them in parallel that should sort it out.

Progress Report I have now put two gasifiers in series see pics. Next trick is to find a tune up center to tune the engine without gas. I overhauled my Niekki carb, so the engine needs tuned, for any tests to be meaningful. It only cost R17 to make the second gasifier. http://i292.photobucket.com/al...

I watched the programme and I thing it was bloody aweful. It was like a high school project. Ham acting, terrible sound, and that super fast flashing about buggers you eyes. It lasted fifteen minutes, with ad breaks every five minutes. Just my opinion.

Hi Scooter, I finished the job this afternoon, and the engine is running like a dream.I went for a test drive and lo and behold, no flat spot. Thanks again for all the help. I am going to fit a vaccum gauge, and get started on the "water" conversion.

Yes I am busy with the conversion, as soon as I get my Nikkei carb reinstalled it will fit it. I am busy collecting the bits and pieces. The Hilux is ideal for the conversion, with lots of space under the bonnet. Pre computer engines are best.

Hi Bretton, and scooter, thanks for the help, but is isin't from the accelerator pump. I have just opened it for the first time and the diphram pump spring is much longer and straight.
The spring in question is only 14mm dia at the bottom tapering to 7mm at the top, and only 10mm high.

F_D I flogged my motorhome and bought a 1991 Hilux which I am busy bringing up to scratch. I am going to convert it to Hydrogen. There is tons of space in the under the bonnet for the conversion.
