Afrox selling it at +-R9 per liter if you individual - stay clear of them - not only they ripoffs, but they simply ignore you messages. The problem with that is if you go long distance, with standard tank on 2.2 you will have to fill up two to three times. That does pose a problem with the bank balance. my 2.2 is a 1990 model.
According to NAAMSA website, the 4y is recommended to use LRP
It can use ULP, but with valve seat additive. Which additive to use?

But since this is a new engine , does the same rule still apply?

I confirmed with the previous owner that all axtra bits on the engine, distributor, starter, alternator, petrol pump all look new, and was fitted by toyota. Hopefully it's still under warrentee cause they only have 12 month warrentee with it :shock: Else I would like to start getting my hands dirty ...

According to the oke at autogas, they don't do diesel conversions :?:

Yes, I agree the quality of the diesel is the prime concern. Just read that there should be no methanol, in the BD. Thus the okes on Topgear must have not washed the BD correctly. I spoke to and oke at LPG auto gas. He says they do petrol conversions, no diesel. And the carb engines do better on the conversion than injection ones. I was wondering if there is anyone on this forum with a +-1999 3.0D non turbo. According to um.co.za, they apparently use +-7l / 100km on higway. COuld this be?? Makes me rethink my strategy to look for 2.7 and go for this instead. But I heard this model is as slow and underpowered as the SFA hilux....

I'm deciding between these two vehicles.
