Mark that t piece you talk of my 2.7 rad doesn't have it.Did you make that up?or did you adapt the drain plug?have you taken the rad cap off and replaced it with a stop cap like you spoke of?

Luke, I have plenty of school fees in this department. First thing to do is 1. fit ARP steel head bolts and throw those stretch bolts in the bin 2. Fit a Cometic head gasket ( steel gasket with layers) You can get it from turbo and nos in Jetpark for around R1800. I blew 3 gaskets before doing this...

Cooling woes
My 7mge is overheating something terible! ive got a brand new 2005 2.7 hilux rad connected to the old 2.2 overflow cooling her with a 13 inch electric fan.somehow the radiator keeps losing fluid :sobbing: and no its not leaking.any thoughts :problem:

interesting!but i am disapointed with the power shes putting out now ,She put out 138 hp on the wheels last dyno which i think was a bit pap considering she did put out 180 and is capable of pushing 200 plus,i just need to get that silly comp to ecu cable made up and then i can tune.

True.im a bit disappointed actually.Dont tell anyone:) The powers ok but not brilliant! its a toyota engine though and the standard transmission doesn't have to be changed,and that does save if your considering a conversion....What about a super charger?

Sorry sounds like a stupid question but how would it be set up normally? its not the option when your in the tuning program to tell the injectors to give a certain percentage of fuel depending on what the temp is?

Guys what would it take to charge your normal aspirated engine? obviously a supercharger,a friend recomended the Benz c230 kompressor charger,but as for mounting it on the engine,and rigging up a pully system,what else?

Wouldn't this affect your belly clearance though having the surge tank gravity fed from the main tank?surely it would be better to have it fed with a little pump somewhere higher up on the chassis?

Cool guys thanks for info but whats this Facet fuel pump? i see my setups completly wrong,my tank cover plate hangs about 50mm lower than before as a result :{ never let a drag racer from a certain area near durban do your fuel system conversion!!

Hey Dizzy your 7mge is a very very nice engine not as powerfull as a 4l v6 but much smoother in my opinion.If you want more info ill give you a run down of what i used.So far ive had zero problems.offroad and in the sand its a dream!!:):):):)
