Stef, those are on conventional VHF channels. Can't help with the fuel problem, but very doubtful that the CPU would be faulty. A CPU acts according to the information presented to it and very seldom itself gives errors.

Sounds stupid, but try disconnect the battery for a few minutyes and then reconnect, maybe the CPU just needs a reboot.

Marius, perhaps take it to an alarm-fitment centre. Either they repair it if it is the immobiliser, or they remove it and fit a new one. Both options should not be ridiculously expensive.

Hi Simon, and welcome to the forum.

It might be prudent to climb underneath the vehicle and inspect the chassis for rust, much more important then general body rust. If the vehicle has been used for sea-launches it might be best to walk away from it.

Was there a loss of power too? I'm suspecting might be a coil pack, HT plug cable or possibly semi-blocked injector, but the guys with more brain cells than I will surely reply soon.

Apparently the diode has to be in the voltage sensor lead. I'm not au fait with car electrics but seems what people do is to remove the voltage sensor fuse and replace it with a diode, thereby gaining ±0.6v over & above the nominal voltage. Some people have put two diodes in thereby effecting a ...

Yep, if it was wired incorrectly, it would not work at all. Probably do all sorts of horrible things to your vehicle electrics as well.

The only difference between those two diodes is that the first can work with a voltage up to 1000v at 1 amp, while the second one is a 3 amp diode rated at 200v.
