Re: Different kind of rear wheel carrier

Thumelo, Why not put the spare on the bonnet, like a LANDY. :laugh2: :boss:  :silent: If im not mistaken, the bonnet of a landy is designed to hold the weight of the spare, so if you want to put it on the bonnet of a lux (IMO will look horrid) you will have to strenghten the entire bonnet, hi...

Re: Rokarok gets a make-over - an update

Wow this thread is very interesting... New to the forum and 4x4ing so here is a dum question for you.... Why did you move the front axel 35mm forward? is that just for arrival angle or is there more to it? Magic job very time consuming but well worth it.... And what a transformation....... :c...

Re: Different kind of rear wheel carrier

Spare wheels on the back is a pain in the arse! Moving side to side, up and down or which even way you like, you always end up dirty, you must swing away the carrier before opeing the canopy door or tailgate, they tend to rattle, etc. Rather keep it in the original position and toss it on the roof ...

Re: Different kind of rear wheel carrier

Hi Donkey I see form your PDF drawing you planing on letting your spare wheel carrier open down and hang...... Why is it that you have chosen that design and not to swing it open to the side..... Hanging it down will just make life tough every time you open the tailgate of the bakkie..... Or do you ...
