My money would be on an air lock and do you self a favour... replace the radiator cap with a new (geniune Toyota) one as this two could be a cause of overheating etc as it has to maintain the pressure in the system at a specified value.

load sense proportioning valve

It is attached to the chassis cross member close to the left rear wheel. It should have a lever from it attached to the rear axle which should push up when you have a load in the bin

Keep in mind that with every face lift they tinker with the VVTi etc to produce just a bit more power. So the latest version could definitely have more power. But not by a huge margin...

Just thinking out loud here but when someone serviced the front wheel assembly, did they replace the shims on the kingpins exactly as they were previously as this greatly influences the alignment of the shaft.

Just be careful when tying up the load valve. If your rear wheels break traction before your front wheels you could be in for some serious problems

Drove past about 4 vehicle delivery trucks on my way home and all of them had only the new Hilux on board. I was driving so I could stare but of what I could see it really looks nice in the flesh.

In regards to scratches and off roading silver is actually better than white in my book and it also does not show dust that easy, I would say less than white. But that is on silver. Gunmetal or Charcoal you would probably want to steer clear of

I used a 27w LED work light on my rear bumper/tow bar as a reverse light (the didn't stock the ones you are referring to when I bought mine) and it's awesome. More than enough light when you reverse.

To my knowledge (have never had a blow out as yet so can not say if this works in practice as well) is the best practice is to actually get it out of gear/step on the cluch and coast to a stop. When you break you actually unsettle the vehicle

Possible leaking intake manifold? Try spraying a little Q20 around the intake gasket against the head. If the engine revs change when you do this, then there's a leak on the intake mani gasket. Not sure if the 2.7 has an idle control valve, but if it does it could be getting stuck allowing some air...

When they press the button the lights flicker but it does not actually lock the doors.

Grass gather over time round the exhaust and/or CATs. That's the first mod that I will do on a V6 cruiser, get rid of those CATs, other wise clean out he grass twice a day when driving off road.
