Hi Simon!

I am a farmer, not a desk person. My wife is the typist in the family and even she can not help me to upload photo's.

I will see you soon, planning to come to Qtn, because I am busy building offraod bumpers for both my Hilux's. I will come for some computer lessons, to learn how to upload photo's.

Do you know off any engineers in Qtn who can help me with "plasma" cutting?

Hi Simon!

If you make a plan to come and visit us for a weekend you can help me to finish off everything.
I do not have 16 dogs any more, the are only 13 now!!~!!!
I am planning to take the seats to Aliwal and get them redone(will you lent me same money, please?).
What colour do you think must I spray the rims?
My wife says NO to selling the jeep, took to much of my time and a lot off work to get it this far. It will be my "Toy" for the 4x4 outings.

Andries built his own chassis, the body was made from flat steel and most of the other stuff is made by him except the axles, engine, we will let Andries give a more detailed report of what he did or

Andries

How much will you charge for such a body on a Hilux chassis?

Hi Benhur!

I shall ask between R 15 000 & R 20 000. Depending on steel prices.

Andries you must fit an expansion tank connected to the radiator.

And concerning the price of petrol, well just work harder fixing all the broken down farmers bakkies, charge them more as well and stop giving your vrou money (mine just takes it out of my wallet and then when I stand in a line of people wanting to pay for something, I open my wallet and damn there is no money inside  damn women)

Baby Pink.

Also one other thing, when I saw you at that garage a few weeks back, Ronny did not want to stop and chat with you, we were on our way to the post office, but it is also partly your fault, why do you not phone and let us know that you will be in town? Oh I forgot, this is how The Boer mense do things. :shh: :silent:

Andries, for what is essentially a home-built vehicle you have done remarkably well, and are obviously very talented. The fact that it's taken 1½ yrs is understandable, money / life comes first, etc., etc. But for Pete's sake, you're 99% completed, finish it. It's only fitting the bonnet which you've already made, a roll bar and the touch up spray work (bonnet, rims, bull bar & roll bar). If you're not sure on colours, just be conservative .... bars black, rims white .... you can always change later.
And then post a few pics! :D
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
