Displaying ORRA call sign

When I received my ORRA license, in the letter it mentioned that I must display it on my vehicle.
I emailed Rina at ORRA, asking her about that, and this was her reply:

ORRA don’t issue the letter stickers mentioned. On the licence received you will find your allocated call sign (X88). This call sign ,must be displayed on your vehicle. The recommended size is +- 75mm black on yellow sticker available from your local hardware store.

Has anybody done this?
What kind of stickers are they? (pictures please)
Where can I get that blue ORRA sticker? I thought that was the one I had to display....

Roy the blue one you should get from Rita, via the post....still wating for mine....

The black and yellow one you can just ask Thys for some vinal and cut it out, pretty simple

I know it was asked that we use the stickers, but is it compulsory (wrong word, but you know what I mean..)
I don't recall ever seeing another vehicle with it on :?

Not sure if it compulsary, but perhaps recommended

Hi Almal!

Ek het nog nooit die "blou sticker" gekry nie, en het al 2 jaar lank ORRA lissensies!? Geld die X.. sticker vir VHF en UHF (29 meg)? M.a.w. dieselfde callsign vir albei?

BTW - Thys, wat kos sulke stickers as jy hulle sou maak?

Ek dink as jy jou 29MHz by ORRA gekry het, ja.
Hoe ek dit verstaan is dat die call sign vir jou (as persoon) is, en die lisensie is vir elke radio (of frekwensie). (to be confirmed...)

Korrek. Die klub het agt radios en een lisensie vir daai agt radios. Elkeen van daai radios is nou geregtig om die huidige twee ORRA frekwensies op te hê

Between the 140MHz and 170MHz range (VHF)

You will never get to know the frequencies. Only the approved dealers have this information at hand and they don't give it out. They will program your radio for you if you show then your license

Probleem is elkeen is uniek, maw daar is setup koste by elkeen wat moet ingereken word.

Posgeld is ook die volgende ding. |As ek 1 pakkie kan opstuur JHB toe en julle kan versprei spaar dit ook kostes.

As daar 'n geel agtergrond bykom jaag dit ook die kostes op.

That said, I will make them at rock bottom prices for club members.. best price in town..

Laat kom die orders dan werk ons die logistics uit..

Ek is die naweek uitstedig, so ek sal volgende week weer incheck..

Pricing:
R20 each if you order only 1
R15 each if you order more than 1.
If you want a yellow background add R10.

Colours available, white, black, green (light/dark), yellow, silver, blue, orange....

I will have to find out about postage, but we have to tag that onto the price. If you share an envelope with a friend, you save on that too. Those who want to pick it up, your postage is free.

I will take some time this coming weekend and set it up. I'll make them look something like this:

Het ek nie erens gelees dat die roepsein swart op 'n geel agtergrond moet wees nie of was dit maar net 'n riglyn?
Sal ons nie probeer standardiseer nie? Wat van 'n paar ontwerpe en dan stem ons?
Btw ek hou baie van Thys se ontwerp.

As iemand sy stickers saam met myne wil laat Gauteng toe kom - ek het klaar die posgeld betaal. ek werk in Midrand en Auklandpark. Reel net met thys en dan kan jy dit saam net myne stuur
