Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel
I was never as confused as I am currently. It al started with this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=28871" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't want to doubt anyone or anything that was said in this thread, but as you guys know I build bumpers and roof consoles and, and...
The question is simple: Is it OK to connect batteries in parallel or not?
I don't want to buy 2 Lead Crystal batteries at high cost and stuff them up in a short period of time.

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel
Didn't read the thread but this is what I know, both must be the same wrt size (Ah), age, charge, relative state/condition. But remember batteries connected in parallel essentially you will halve charging current to each one, but deliver twice as much current when discharging them. Try and also keep to the same make and type i.e. gel, lead-acid, etc.
Hope that helps?

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel
Louis die gevaar van so 'n stelsel is jou stelsel gaan net so goed vaar soos jou slegste battery. So jou batterye gaan nooit vol laai nie en jy gaan baie vinniger jou batterye afskryf.

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel
2 batterye in parallel is bad news. As jy daai riging wil gan sal ek se 2 DC-DC chargers een per battery.

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel

Louis, hier is jou antwoord. http://www.victronenergy.com/battery-is ... 225a-425a/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Die internasionale pryslys lys dit vir 41 euro. Victron is die beste op die mark. Waar jy een gaan kry weet ek nie...

Re: Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel
