Beer chicken

Well a while ago I bought one of those beer chicken things, and yesterday I decided to cook dinner for myself and my Girlfriend. So, bought a chicken and some pumpkin (simple food is lekker)
1 amstel (for cooking)
1mixed herbs
Olive oil
Some Mediterranean spice
Salt.
So covered the chicken in olive oil, and then rubbed the herbs and spices generously on the hoender
Opened the beer, and violated the chicken with a beer can up its you-know-what.
Oven at 180 for an hour 45. Out comes the most succulent chicken with crispy (and I mean proper crunchy crispy) skin! I don't normally eat the skin but I devoured it this time!
A novelty I had little faith in (these gimmicks I trust them not) actually turned out to be a clucker of a success!
A must try!
