So i bought a Gomad alu cab for my D/C SFA hilux for Allan(Hoppy) about a year and a half ago. i am very happy with it. it saved my bakkie from rolling over(and perhaps my life) when i put it on its side a year ago.
Towards the end of last year i decided it was time for some roof racks to expand my packing space. i thought to go with Gomad as they built the canopy and would know what work best.

I phoned Ciske in November some time and he said he could help. he said he would think up some designs and let my know. so i sent him an e-mail with what a wanted. the whole of November there was no response so i phone him at the end of November and he said they were too busy over season so i should phone him on the 13th when they open again, i thought fair enough.
When i phoned him in the new year he asked me for all the dimensions of the canopy so i sent it to him. another month, nothing happened.
i phoned him a week ago and he didn't answer, which i found was strange as he always answers his phone.
i phoned him today again with another phone and when i told him who i was he just hung up on me...
I think its very rude and VERY poor customer service.
If he doesn't want to do the job for whatever reason(if im too far away or whatever it may be) then he should have told me right from the beginning that he doesn't want to do the job. Which i would've understood, but now that he left me hanging for 3 months and hangs the phone up on me, left me feeling that i can't not post my experience to the forum.
:( :( :(

Damn, sometimes technology can be a bugger when it wants to be! Glad you got your gremlins in your phone sorted, you don't have cellc by any chance? Im facing with that issue!

Im sure the mods can remove the "bad service" from the thread due to the technical fault.

We have become so dependant on technology that it rules our lives - or ruins it when it acts up ....

So true ChrisF but in everyday technology has made life so much easier!

Thomas - no i have vodacom was thinking it is the handset but friends of mine has experience the same fault as i have with there mobiles with vodacom!

Dont know how true but some have said that it has to do with the power outages. Not sure.

With regards to this topic being removed from bad service section that will be up to Tarquin. Let me first sort him out and proof my commitment to service!

I am also with Vodacom and have experienced the same problems.
It's a bloody nightmare.

So I have resorted to not answer my phone but just stick to text.

My suggestion would be to get his number (Andy can assist) and give him a call. Least you could do

Sorry for my late input on this point...

There was a country wide problem with the telephones a couple of weeks ago. I will not mention their name, but I will say that it sounds almost like Helkom...
