Usually rule of thumb is: people who can afford a Prado do not worry about fuel consumption...
My brother has one, he gets between 6.5-7km per litre, although he has said on more than one occasion that he still prefers the diesel and that he should have gone for the diesel (he had a D4D before the Prado) and not the petrol. He really misses the torque of the diesel compared to the petrol.

I had a Prado 120 V6. It gave about 6.5 - 7km/l, standard.
Then I fitted an ARB bullbar, OME suspension, which lifts the car, and bigger tyres, and the consumption dropped to 5 -5.5 km/l, on a good day. When in a real hurry, it would give 4.5km/l

Remember bigger tyre will change the consumption not because of the bigger tyre but the speedo is now more accurate the petrol is way better than the diesel if you go into the dunes and considering the cost of keeping the diesel going and repairing it if it break as well as the purchase price of the car then the maybe 10% saving on fuel consumption of the diesel will take you a lifetime to get back. Buy the petrol and have much more FUN it is not costing you that much more if any on the long term.

So pas jou goet op dit help al klaar so n bietjie.
