Basics

Post by Mud Dog »

Experienced off-roader or newbie, it's good to re-cap or familiarise oneself with the basic principles / techniques for off-road driving. The clips on this site offer some useful tips.

Share your own tips / clips as well.

One of the tips I found to be interesting is one that I shared here some years back about using stakes as anchor points which seems to still be unknown or forgotten since I've never seen any other reference to the technique here. (My original posting with a sketch is in this topic ... viewtopic.php?f=42&t=11769" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
