Goeie dag alle lede
Ek is nuut op die forum en daarby ook nuwe gebruiker van n 2006 Toyota Prado 4.0 V6 AT. Het die voertuig Vrydag by die handelaar op getel en was aanvanklik bekommerd oor die gebruik van die aotomatiese ratkas. Dit is egter n groot plesier en beslis n aanwins.
Ek is n groentjie in die gebied en gaan swaar staat maak op almal se kennis. Ek is woonagtig in n besonderse deel van ons land waar n goeie 4x4 n moet is. I started this post in Afrikaans as that is my mother tongue but will fall in with the majority.
I would like to know who I should contact regarding the licensing of two way radio and the registration there off. The question I was asked when inquiring about the purchase of such a radio is what i want to do with it. To be honest I don't know but the vehicle had one in it which was removed leaving the power cable and the Arial cables with the radio brackets. If I would use something like that would depend on the advice I get from you guys and girls .

Firstly, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, you need to join the Club by clicking on the flashing "Join the Club" thingie above. After having done this, you are eligible to apply for a VHF radio licence (assuming the Prado had a VHF radio in it and not a 29MHz one). If you can find out the type of radio (Make & Mode Number), I can most probably assist you in getting the identical unit again.
If you PM me your email address, I will forward the forum radio price list to you.

I have already joined the club. I unfortunately do not know what type of radio was installed as only the bracket and the arial and power cable was left inside. I would appreciate assistance in this regard as well as how to get the licence done. Obviously I would have to buy a radio as well should I go this route. Will appreciate assistance . Thank you again Family_dog your assistance is appreciated. I got the email thank you. The aerial on the vehicle is not one that's showed in the price list. I will however check the dimensions and maybe take some photos to help me identify what was in the vehicle.
