Re: Boltz new wheels aka "Archangel"
Yup treadplate, lazer cut based on the origional doorpanels, works very well. Foam tape on the back to stop rattles and mounted with allenkey crush bolts (odd little thing but works damn well)
Had to go measure quick, they are 100mm shackles...
@OOOOMS: everything has a price.....lol.....yup still standard brakes in the back.....they lock damn easily anyway figured with the disks it would be a bit feisty.....need to add weight to the back and see what it feels like then.

Nice job! You need to get the black TOYOTA vinyls cut for the tail gate, any Vinyl signwriter should be able to do that.Boltz wrote: @OOOOMS: everything has a price.....lol.....yup still standard brakes in the back.....they lock damn easily anyway figured with the disks it would be a bit feisty.....need to add weight to the back and see what it feels like then.
Regarding the rear brakes locking, you will need to adjust (or modify...) the Load Compensator Valve. Had to do this with Bulldog - brakes are fine now.

Please can you start a new post and tell us about this mod as my rear breaks also lock up.
I found it out the hard way yesterday and if my reactions were any slower i would have implanted a Hilux badge on a black mazda3

Blerrie nice! Well done! ..... Just don't tramp too hard on the noise pedal .... that V8 will strip the standard box or the diff with ease. The 2.7 or KZ box and diffs would be more suitable.

Re: Boltz new wheels aka "Archangel"
Its a normal bolt but the nut is the fancy part.....it goes throught the metal plate and then flairs on both side of the plate, thus giving you a place to bolt the door panel too without welding anything or those crappy plastic body clips

Re: Boltz new wheels aka "Archangel"
Those nuts you refering to, are also called "riv nuts", they can be baught at any decent bolt place.
BUT, you need the tool aswell for most applications, on the door however, you may be able to get a pliers or the like in the back( before fitting door cards ect..) to hold them and then tighten up till they compress, hopefully enough to hold tight.
Be carefull when compressing as if they loose, and turn, you'll battle to get the nut out or tight at a later stage.
Otherwise they are a major blessing for alot of applications as no welding ect... or plastic clips as stated are required.
