my new Hilux.... and my first
So i bought this little beaut last week. So far I am happy, with a few concerns towards McCarthy but that is for another topic in a different lobby :)
She is a 2012 2.5 D/C 4x4 with an intercooler .... which is apparently unavailable on the market (according to McCarthy PMB) ....

Re: my new Hilux.... and my first
Welcome Jonathan
Congrats on your 4x4!
The current 2.5 4x4 SRX models does not have an intercooler or overfenders, only the updated 2.5 Raider 4x2 model has it.
You are lucky to get an intercooled 2.5 4x4 Raider model, but AFAIK these weren't available in SA. :!:

Sjoe, that is the first time I've heard that the 2.5 has an intercooler standard in the Hilux! Does it produce 106kw as in the Fortuner?
If it does, it is a much better buy than the 3.0.

Re: my new Hilux.... and my first
I am not certain what her kW are at the moment. As it is not a standard vehicle I can not find any info on it. It was previously owned by one of the TSA Fleet managers and as far as I can tell, this is either 1 of 3 or the only one like this in SA. I am wanting to take her to a dyno at some point and find out what her power and torque is sitting at.
btw.... what is an overfender?
There are quite a few things that I am going to kit her with over time as cash allows.... front and rear fenders, snorkle, iron-man suspension upgrade, but the first thing is going to be seat covers. I drive a dirt road about 40km everyday at the very least and the current upholstery will get covered and saturated in dust in no time.

Welcome on the Forum, enjoy it here, type any key-word the search block above the forum logo, you will find a relevant topic on the forum.
The "overfenders" or "wide body kit" is the plastic trim on the fenders used on models with wider wheels, they were std on all Raiders.

Welcome
NICE looking 2,5 !
VERY custom unit that:
- over fenders (plastic trim on the wheel arches)
- Toyota Maggs
- intercooler and bonnet ...
- side steps
if one had to buy all those extras separetly the price would be more than a 3,0 !!

The Hilux 2.5d in the UK got an intercooler late 2009 producing 120 bhp and later 144 which will be the power output of the OPs model.
