Bennie, you talking about myself or my van?
I quit trying to quit smoking :?
If I have the money to put a Lexus V8 in my S/C, i'll throw the old stinker away
After my 2.7 I'm not fond of 4 cyl petrol motors in a bakkie. Not so much because of the consumption, but POWER is the issue :!:

Nah, I was talking about your personal habit. You mentioned in the other thread that you should stop so I thought that we can help to motivate you.
Its not that hard. If I can do it anyone can.
A Little positive thinking goes a long way, but if you continually think you can not do it then you would not be able too.

Re: D4D's Van - 2.4SFA
This is so very true. I gave up smoking 30 seconds after I started it, never touched a cigarette since. It helps, I suppose, that I was only five years old at the timeA Little positive thinking goes a long way, but if you continually think you can not do it then you would not be able too.

Ja but I guess in 1912 the cigarettes where much stronger than to day so as a 5 year old it probably knock you over and cured you from cigarettes for life

Re: D4D's Van - 2.4SFA
Thanks CM, try to maintain her as well as possible. Sometimes I end up replacing stuff that could still last a long time, but thats just me, make no mistake, she has a small dents and scrathes, but thats part of the package.
I dont stuff her up, but if I cant avoid bushes and stuff, dan is dit maar so. That is what I use her for, Luckily not metallic, had a few scrathes toutched up the other day though, hehe
On the smoking side, yaa, no more Diesel invested Fuel and no more smoking, glad thats over,
but I have the same problem with the Chesterfields, hehe. Will get around it one day....
I thinks the day I get out of IT I'll stop smoking automaticly....

Re: D4D's Van - 2.4SFA
D4D,
Things I still have to do to my Hilux...
1. Fit Sliders like the ones on yours
2. Fit a rear bumper like the one on your Hilux
Can you please post some details re the sliders, did you have them made or buy them? What thickness is the tubing that is used, i.e. pipe wall thickness as well as pipe diameter (looks like 76mm).
Some close up pictures of both these items would be appreciated.

Eric
His stuff looks like the generic Steellite stuff these models came stock with in the last few models before the IFS. My sliders is the same and before my prang I had the same bull-bar and tow-bar. The sliders mount onto the body though, mine has not caused problems so far but I ultimately would like to replace them with ones mounted on the chassis.

Re: D4D's Van - 2.4SFA
Hi F_D
Well actually the Side steps, Towbar and Bullbar is OE as been fitted to the Raider
models that time, If you look around you'll see allot of 1995-1997 models with this same
stuff on, they call it the Wrap around, hehe
The Roll bar is 76mm, but the rest is around 68mm
If you want Decent stuff made, you must speak to Kobus in Langebaan, I met him through a
friend om mine in Langebaan, Pietpetoors as I understand also know him,
He builds the stuff posted by Piet on this forum,
but Kobus had a rear towbar similar to mine the came of his OE Ltd eddition.
Just needs a re-epoxy, will be as good as new. He might even have the original
Running boards.
You'll find them,
