Nothing worng with your eyes hehehehe They are clear lens replacements. They work a charm, i dont even need those spots. :D
Waar koop mens sulke gaskets?

It does not allow you to post images to display directly in the forum either. Rather use Photo Bucket as it is the easiest to use.

Groet maar as jy my raaksien ek groet graag terug.. :)

We went to Atlantis yesterday. It was very nice and I will post a video-clip or 2 soon. Will advise when they are up. Is was Kaspaas's first time in the dunes and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We crested the Big Dune from a standing start with a 5m run-up on his first try. Then we started playing, closer and closer until we couldn't make it over the top.

My mate has a 1994 Hilux DC (similar spec to Kaspaas) and it almost always ends up in a contest between Kaspaas and his bakkie. This time Kaspaas won, convincingly.

We also took a classic video-clip of a RAV4 kicking a TD5 Landie's bee-hind on the big dune. I will also upload that. All in all we had a very pleasant day. :)

That was really funny, because the guy with the Landy tried from all angles and with long and short run-ups, but eventually resorted to storming the dune from just this side of Malmesbury... He made it. We all cheered, and then all of a sudden this RAV4 appears and quite casually with minimal run-up just hopped up and over the top.. hehehehehe :)

Here is that clip of the RAV4 and the Land Rover. As I said before, the guy in the Land Rover tried quite a few times before he made it, the the RAV4 just upstaged him. :D

I also am busy uploading some more video-clips. There are a few already here http://s235.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... tis_18_11/ that you can check out. More to come. Bandwidth is a pain in the backside hehehe :D

Hiya Ron,

Numberplates... ahem.. it's an old habit I guess, but a little paranoid, because the numberplate is open for all to see when you are driving on the road anyway. Sometimes I blank it out sometimes not.

Running Boards: They are standard Raider kit. I bought Kaspaas with them fitted.

Personally, I think the running boards rather spoil Kaspaas :o:

I don't see the practicality of Std Raider Running Boards, they are disproportionally dimensioned and do a very good job of chaffing your legs which is not pleasant when mud and dirt is involved - my opinion only hey :o:

.....but probably why many guys take them off.... a bit like a Tata's hub caps) :o:

I've seen some awesome awesome rock crawler bars, some with two stages; that's if you need the step-up like Thys

I fell IN LOVE with Kaspaas (not Thys, we have a lurv/hate relationship; I lurv him and he.....) when I saw him in action at Tierkloof in January this year (see photo)

Since then he lost his lustre when I saw his butt kicked at Atlantis by John ( a novice 4x4'er) in a bog std road tyre equipped Prado, Kaspaas was found sadly lacking that day :o: :o: :o:

I'll give kaspaas:

5/10 for Presentation and 7/10 for Technical Merit - This Olympic Fever is getting to me hey :o: :o:

Sorry Thys, (nothing personal)- but when you blow your own trumpet - the Pipers prick up their ears:o:

Never mind, great thing about the Lux is that...

You NEVER HAVE TO STOP building it :D: :D:

Who knows Martin might get bored of his LC springs and "move up" to IFS :o:

Looking forward to see Kaspaas' crowd-pleasing antics again :P

If only from afar, given the vehicle I'm coming in - hope I can find a brown paper bag big enough to fit over my head  :P

Sorry Tristan I missed that little part of your post. Building the front bar is actually quite easy if you have a "Raider" bullbar like you have on your bakkie already.

A bit of a nip and tuck here and there and new mounts and it is all done... I still need to have mine powdercoated, but it just doesnt seem to happen...

I hope this drawing helps.
