Hi all,
Just a quick introduction. I'm originally from Vereeniging, moved to Joburg, then Dubai and now I'm in Durban.
I stayed in Dubai for almost 2 years and this is where I had my first 4x4 experience, I went on a desert safari and liked it so much that I brought myself a 1995 4L Jeep Wrangler just to be able to drive around the desert by myself. I did a LOT of sand driving and have to say that I really loved it. It's so crazy and such an adrenaline rush!
Here's some photos: (I couldn't post them here because they're too wide and I didn't want to re-size and upload them all again, apologies)

I've been back in SA for just over a year now and since I've been back I've been looking for another 4x4. I've tried out all the different ones and finally decided on a toyota. My first choice would have been another SWB, they just have no problems going anywhere maar hulle is so skaars soos hoender tande. So I finally got a 1997 D/C 2.4 petrol 22R engine.
Current mods:
31" wrangler M/T tires
Dual battery system
old man EMO suspension
Long range fuel tank
ARB front and rear bumper
Gearmax rear difflock
I haven't taken her off road yet, I'm itching to do thought. Hopefully this weekend 8 )

Welcome Adrian! Enjoy the forum and the Hilux!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
