The scenery during a part of this trip wasn't that good but the experience was to die for.

Ek glo as mens verantwoordelik ry en jou voertuig ken, kan enige roete aangedurf word. Ek volg maar Andre de Villiers se raad as dit by enige moeilike "opsticle" kom. Klim uit en loop hom voor jy hom aandurf !!. Ek ry al 25 jaar 4x4 en het nog nooit, "touch wood", enige skade op een van my voertuie gehad nie.

Ek het beplan om die hele Namakwa Eco roete te doen vanaf Pella tot Alexanderbaai, dan van Sendelingsdrif deur die park tot Vioolsdrif via Kuboes en Eksteenfontein. Gelukkig het my GPS my laat verdwaal tussen Alexanderbaai en die Bakkrans grotte, soveel so dat ek omtrent twee honderd meer kilos in die omgewing gery het as wat die roete bepaal, maar ek kla glad nie daaroor nie, dit was die moeite werd. Ek het Garmin se basecamp gebruik om die roete te beplan en het gelukkig my laptop saam gevat en kon op daai manier altyd bepaal in watter rigting gery moet word want van die paadjies wat ek gery het, het nie op die GPS of basecamp gewys nie.
