Introduction

Post by Craig Leaver »

Hi Everyone
Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I drive a 2006 double cab 4l V6 and I'm considering switching to the 3lD4D (if I can). Anyone have any advice or suggestions on how/whether to go about it?

Thanks

Howzit and welcome Craig.I think the 3l d4d Toyotas should be more readily available since the arrival of the new Revo as many trade ins should be on the market.Keep an eye on the dealers and surely a suitable vehicle must crop up.I know that they were like hens teeth until a few months ago.Happy hunting

Welcome Craig!

If you're talking about a motor conversion, it's normally not worth it IRO the cost. Rather sell the 4lit and buy a good 2nd hand D4D. They are pretty scarce as Tony mentioned, but they are out there - you just have to be patient if the right one doesn't come up immediately. Good luck. :winkx:
