Good morning all,
I am New to this group.
I have a Hilux Bakkie with a Lexus V8 vvti engine
With D4D box. It has a Spitronics management
System. I usually tow my spin car (BMW) with it.
It seems to be very heavy on fuel.
Took it to 2 different dyno shops but still seem to
Be heavy.
Any assistance please??

Welcome David! (Not sure if Dawood is supposed to be your surname).
The V8's are not light on juice to start with and then you're also running a box and possibly diffs that are intended for a 4 cyl diesel motor. You can perhaps improve the drive ratios by fitting a larger diameter tyre, but there are issues around that as well, like tyres scuffing in the front wheel wells on turns and articulation (a body lift / suspension lift sorts that out), speedo misreads and the drive train comes under more strain than intended.
Whether this all helps or not is also debatable since there's a train of thought which advocates that the opposite is true - i.e. fitting diffs with shorter legs than those for diesels and staying with the smaller tyre diameters so that the motor doesn't labour, even though the revs are relatively high. The contention by some is that this achieves better economy.
Which one is the correct path, I don't know, but perhaps someone with more experience in these conversions can provide some more input.
