Howziiiiit

Post by IcePick »

Hi Guys,

New to the forum.

Have a 4x4 Nissan Pathfinder, but I am looking for a old Hilux 4x4 to play with. Looking at the 80's and 90's models. But seems they are all up in PTA/JHB area..... :naah:

My price range is not much. Looking at around 50 to 70K. I do not mind to fix a few things, but it at least has to run and all the 4x4 goodies need to work. :D:

Looking forward to spend more time here once I find one! :celebrate:

For that price you're going to have to deal with rust issues. Unless you can find a nice "only lived in Gauteng" one. Mechanical issues are fine to fix, parts are relatively cheap, especially on the Y series engines since they are identical to the HiAce. The lower mileage rust free original ones are going for around 120-140k now.
Happy trails

Howzit Shaun, hope you find a decent one soon!

Nic, have you just not sold one?

These old Hiluxes are tough, doubt I will ever sell mine - never!
