Hi everyone, I am new to being a signed forum member, but I am not new to your forum, I have referred to your forum in many conversations and admire the kind culture of willingness to share information and help fellow members.

I have previously driven a Isuzu 280dt and a Toyota Rav4, last week I purchased my first real 4x4 :) a 1986 Hilux 2.2 petrol d/c. I leave to Mozambique on the 23rd for 2 weeks of fun in Bilene sun with a proper 4x4 this time :)

Hi and welcome Van and Jan!

Jan, there are a helluva lot of 2.7 owners on this forum (not all SRX) but if there's anything you need to know, just ask and someone will almost certainly be able to assist.

Enjoy the Moz trip Van!

Welcome Isak and the best for the new year to you as well!

To include a picture .... when you have a posting window open (full editor and not "Quick reply"), scroll down below the "Submit" button - you will see 2 tabs on the LHS, "Options" and "Attachments". Click on "Attachments" and then "Add a file". This brings up a mini 'explorer' window that you can use to locate the file you wish to post. File sizes and file types are restricted, so if you want to load a pic, the best is the "jpeg" format and resized to 800 x 600 pixels.

let us know if you still have a problem. :winkx:

Hi there,

I'm new to the Hilux4x4 forum. Used to be active on the Fortuner4x4 forum and met some really nice guys there and had some great 4x4 trips together. Sold the Fortuner about two years ago and bought the Prado 3.0D VX, which my wife now drives most of the time.

Due to the nature of my hobbies and our lifestyle, I'm in the market for a Hilux 4x4 and am giving serious consideration to the new 2.8 DC 4x4 Auto.

Already read some valuable posts here and hope to learn a lot more as well as contribute and get to know more of you.

Warm regards
Dirk

Hi Almal
Ek is Jerry Minny, baie in my skik om deel te wees van hierdie forum.
Ek is net bietjie tegnologie gestrem.
Waar sit mens fotos van jou voertuig op en hoe maak mens.
My Toyotas = 1) 1999 Toyota Hi Lux 2.7i DC 4x4 met amper 4000 km. Die beste!
2) 2000 Toyota HiLux Surf 2.7i 4x4 SWA. Nog beter. Koom standaard met Prado 4x4 onderstel.
Gebruik al 2 in Botswana vir my werk in die bosse.
Ek kom gereeld na my woonstelletjie in Potchefstroom SA, so elke 3 maande. Verser bly en werk ek in Botswana. Ons dorpie is Shakawe in die noorde van Botswana. So 20km van die Caprivi, Mohembo grenspos. Drink asb 'n koffetjie as julle verby kom bosse toe.

Hi All, I am a newbie on your forum. Can see I will gain from all the experience.
Previously I rebuilt Cruisers, I am also one of the first original members of the cruiser club. I recently bought my son a pre-90 SFA which we have started to strip completely. Removed the cab yesterday :shock2: . I am pleased to say that I have already implemented some tips read in the forum. Will upload progress pics once I have sorted out the uploading.
Thanks ADMIN for my approval.

I am a noob when it comes to Hilux but my interest is growing in overland adventure and the Hilux choice.
I'd like to start out here by asking advice on how much a second hand Hilux should be paid for.
Where do I do this?

Welcome Louis!

Probably the best place to ask is in the "Vehicles for sale" section ...... viewforum.php?f=129

Welcome Louis
I'd like to start out here by asking advice on how much a second hand Hilux should be paid for.
Where do I do this?
The for sale section is only for advertising vehicles.

Rather ask the question in the general discussion section:
