Re: The Beast
Lekker!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: The Beast
Hiya Phillip. Nice bakkie!
Gert se klip looks a lot tamer on pics than in real life.
A few years ago I accompanied a friend who did a 4x4 course at DeWildt, and we were very chuffed with getting up and down there with his Prado. A while later he flogged the Prado for a Hummer (really!) and we were back at the Klip to see how the hummer did. While we were still standing around discussing how to get the hummer up the klip, some fat Omie showed up in his Colt with a bunch of teenagers on the back. He stopped, got out, walked up to the slope, looked at it for about 5 seconds, got back into his Colt, told the kids to hang on, and just drove up. No mess, no fuss, no co-driver, no wheelspin or revving. Like you'd drive into your garage.
We waited until they were gone before we went up.

I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.
