Employment help needed for my pops

Guys,

I'm not entirely sure how to go about asking this...

My dad was retrenched about a year ago and has really been struggling to find anything. He has many years of experience in production management, mostly electrical engineering based, CV attached.

He has tried everything (applications, cold-calling, agencies), and I fear that the constant rejection and boredom of sitting at home is beginning to depress him. I can only imagine how hard it must be to not be able to support your family when you have done so for many years.

If anyone knows anyone who has anything for him please let me know...

Eish Jonno I know exactly how you feel. My Dad (FIL) sits in the same boat. He is a qualified Diesel Mechie who was workshop manager for the last couple of years before he was retrenched as the company he worked for lost the contract doing the fleet management of a mayor bakery in PTA. For the last year he has also struggled finding permanent work again. At 58 no one wants him on the tools as they say normally guys his age is in management even though he is willing to go back onto the tools again and there is also no workshop management posts for 58 year old white males either.

I actually have him here at my place working on Scorpion's Lux while I am on the crutch list. Hopefully I can teach him a bit on EFI systems so that he may be able to do similar work in future. He has been doing all sorts of odds and ends but its difficult to make ends meet and all his savings etc. is not going to outlive him.

my parents in law had to leave Zim because of some thieves stealing a lovely +/- 2500ha farm, he is now doing od jobs in Potgietersrus / Mokopane but times are tuff

Lets pray for all that neads help, and who cant support thier house hold.
