So let's start this for fun...

Tonight I'm in an "Oldies" frame of mind.

All were hits (top 10) in their respective periods in time.

Ek moet bieg, ek is nie op hoogte van daardie musiek nie.

Nou moet ek ook byse dat ek is nie te veel van 'n musiek ou is nie - op laerskool het my musiek-onderwyseres al vir my gese dat ek moet liewer ophou musiek neem, want ek het nie genoeg ritme in my om eers aan 'n deur te klop nie!!

Huidiglik is die DVD van Celtic Thunder in die speler. Nogal nie sleg nie.

Forgot about this one! The answer to the riddle is that they all feature a Hammond organ playing very promionently either at the beginning or middle of the song. If you guys ever get the opportunity, give those tunes a listen.

Incidentally, the organist playing in "Whiter Shade of Pale" was recently awarded a large lump sum payout, think it was last year, for his contribution to that excellent 60s song that is still played by decent radio stations worldwide. Sadly, these are falling into the minority now

But there's always LM Radio still :)

middagete bietjie "Kiss - I was made for Loving you baby" in die bakkie geluister. Het so Mix 'n match aan die gang so enigiets ligs - Scorpions, Bryan Ferry, Collective soul, Boomtown Rats ens ens. Die spring op en af en jaag taxis rond is nie tans in die mp player nie - dan kom ek aggressief by die werk aan. AC\DC, G 'n R, Rammstein, Whitesnake....

I played it this afternoon for Jacques & Brenda. Brenda walked out, Jacques & I were brave enough to listen for the first 20 seconds or so, just after the yodelling stopped before caving in.

There are a few versions of this song, but the best is where he holds a note on his guitar for something like 20 (or longer??) seconds... absolutely brilliant!

Ek het toe ek 'n laaitie was een keer "whiter shades of pale" in 'n konsert op 'n orrel gespeel. My pa-hulle het 'n Hammond orrel gehad en my laat orrel lesse vat vir so 'n ruk. Het die song seker maklik 35 jaar terug laas gehoor. "brings back memories" haha alhoewel ek nie daardie tyd baie impressed was met die orrel spelery nie hahaha.

Luister met gemengde gevoelens , was die laaste cd wat ons geluister het voor ons ongeluk. Die cd is nog steeds in die radio vas in die bakkie en sal seker saam met hom gebaal word......sad but true. Het saterdag 'n replacement cd gekoop.....sal daai 2 songs nooit vergeet nie

Het onlangs op die internet ou albums van Stevie Ray Vaughn (& Double Trouble) ontdek! Dit en Depeche Mode kan ek nie van genoeg kry nie. Dan is daar nog David Garrett (lekker langpad musiek!). En bietjie Rolling Stones (veral "Start me up!") net om almal wakker te raas!
