Where to camp & 4x4 in the CT area?

Hier is Ou skip karavaanpark op Melkbosstrand dan is jy sommer 15 minute weg van Atlantis duine en 25 minute weg vanaf kaapstad self.
Die kamp plek is redelik netjies en so ook die ablusies

You wont find many camping spots in CT itself, but within a 100-200km radius there are plenty. You can start in the Piketberg/Redelinghuys/Citrusdal area with:
Klein Tafelberg
Jakkalskloof
Scheppie Saus
Koningskop

Porterville will offer:
Waterval
Beaverlac

You could also go visit Mnr Piet Petoors in Langebaan if you can find him at home....

Then towards Worcester/Ceres/Touwsriver there are a few other nice spots:
Tierkloof
Leeuwenboschfontein
Matroosberg

Hermanus/Caledon/Overberg also have some nice camping spots with 4x4 trails. Ask meneer Stubbs (Maverick) all about them.

There are many more, but this is just off the top of my head. A good place to start will be http://www.driveout.co.za" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; where they have a listing of the camping/4x4 venues in the Western Cape area. If you want to be within a 25km radius of CT then Ou Skip is a good camp site, and as Jaco said, you'll be 15 minutes away from Atlantis Dunes.

I hope this helps...

and stay away from Hardekraaltjie, unless you love the City sounds, drunken beggars, 1300 Escorts doing burn outs, prostitutes on your doorstep, trucks using airbrakes and good ol La Bamba for midnight snacks (and if you get any type of food poisoning Tygerberg Hospital is on your doorstep!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: )

Come to Bellville and CY :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
