Re: Wheel locks
It can either be that the grease on the inside is hard or that there is hard grease between the moving part and solid part.
The quick solution can be to spray it with Q20 on the outside in the space between the moving (knob) and solid part.
The correct solution is to remove the cover (take those 6 bolts out) then clean it, put new grease and put back in. There is not much that can go wrong, after you removed the lid just note the position of all the parts.

I would rather just take off the cover and clean it out and put in new grease. Just be very careful when tightening those cover bolts as they only need to be torqued to 9NM if I remember correctly and strips quite easily

Re: Wheel locks
i am not to sure if the spring comes out when you take off the cover. if it does than make sure the spring is insert correctly. My hub was buggered up because a previous mechanic had insert the spring incorrectly.

Re: Wheel locks
Best is to remove cover when in unlocked position , then spring should not come out and you can check properly where everything is. If you turn the knob to lock position the spring will pop out.
