Fart against thunder

Post by Mud Dog »

Do we fart against thunder (not Neil), or do we thunder against farts?

Dear South African motorists and their friends,
TOLL ROADS ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED NATIONWIDE. Finish and klaar.
This is not just a Gauteng concern, every province is targeted for tolls.
IT SEEMS TO BE ANOTHER SCAM ON US ALL FOR THE ENRICHMENT OF A FEW. Consider….
1) To fund the road costs by way of a small addition to the fuel levy would cost absolutely nil in collection fees. Nada, zilch!
2) The proposed tolls collection costs amount to nearly 40% of what you will pay under tolling. 40% versus nothing. Where is the reasoned thinking?
3) The collection fees (R5 billion a year) goes offshore to Austria , far from the auditor general’s reach and oversight powers. Petrol levies stay in S.A. and are audited.
4) R5 billion exported impoverishes us all. Our current account is already disastrous. R5 billion is the equivalent of just 20 new Zuma seraglios, but is still a lot of money.
Wayne Duvenage says we already collect R40 billion p.a. in fuel levies, much more than we need to sustain decent road structures.
Tolls are just another disguised tax like A.D.T., private schools and Discovery, paying for services which you have already paid for with your tax buck.
For-profit taxis are exempt from tolls, we producers still have to pay. Our Lords and Masters are dead scared of the taxis. So, I guess, are we all!
Daily we read of the huge financial scams being perpetrated on us by our scurvy elected Lords and Masters. Daily Huge amounts and no one is ever brought to account.
We are punch drunk and feel powerless. We know that this latest scheme is like the others. We know why they will not release the contract details, and are united in gatvolheid.
TOLL ROAD DISOBEDIENCE IS OUR CHANCE TO FIGHT BACK! And no one gets to bleed for a change. You can simply suck it up (again) or fight back.
A very simple solution is at hand. It will cost you nothing, give you immense satisfaction and screw those scumbags who wish to accumulate huge offshore bank accounts at your expense.
DO NOT REGISTER FOR E-TOLL TAGS. REGISTERING IS NOT A LEGAL REQUIREMENT. IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER THEY HAVE TO SEND YOU AN ACCOUNT, 300 THOUSAND ACCOUNTS A DAY, 10 BILLION ACCOUNTS PER YEAR, 10 BILLION! Quite impossible, and the scam will collapse.

Here is what you do :
Then query your account! What fun. They will have to send you a photo of every toll you have passed through, maybe 20 billion in total. Then you can argue that it was not you but a cloned licence plate. Demand proof that you were the driver. With individual identification.
DEMAND THAT THEIR 'LETTERS OF DEMAND' ARE SENT BY REGISTERED POST. Oh! The cost, the cost, the cost!
Defend the case if you have time, but it will never reach that stage, the logistics and costs would be too overwhelming for the possible scamsters to contemplate. Insist, in writing, that the guy in charge of the camera attend the court, then pay your R15 due the day before trial.
Over 20 years there is perhaps R160 billion at stake here, many times that when every province is targeted.
R160 billion of your, my and South Africa’s money, possibly diverted to crooks (they will not disclose the contracts which divulge where and to whom the toll fees are to be paid, so we cannot know).
Sincerely, if you are tired of being a milk cow, tired of seeing your hard worked-for earnings being ripped off for the benefit of a few connected yobboes, tired of being scammed,
DO NOT BUY AN E-TAG, THEY CANNOT LOCK YOU UP, CANNOT BEGIN TO FIGHT US ALL, AND CANNOT HOPE TO WIN.
Remember, the more draconian they get in trying to extort money from you, the more they will lose at the polls, and losing power is something they cannot afford as it would deny them the unlimited power of plunder they now enjoy.
Please send this to as many of your contacts as possible. Let this go viral
We could win for a change, and won’t that be satisfying!

We also need to stand together against Fuel Hikes, taxes, and whatever scam they come with in the future.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Als is 'n geldmaak spul!

The problem with this is, if they realised this and decide to prosecute, you are staring a much more serious charge in the face than driving without a number plate for instance. The reason is then you deliberately planned to mislead the authorities

1. you could argue that the plate was made like that and you didnt notice
2. isn't it like a R500 fine and considered as "not displaying a license plate"?

AFAIK it's a much bigger fine if you have an incorrect number plate on your vehicle than not having one at all.

And besides... now you change your number plate. Somewhere out there is a vehicle that number actually belongs too. Now it doesn't matter if it's the same make or model even, that person is now going to get all your speed fines and e-toll bills and the onus is on him to prove that it's not his car. In other words you are going to cost him/her time, money and effort.

Ok, so here's my situation - I'm on the highways all the time, will never get my work done if I try back routes.
The R450,00 etag cap is affordable - will simply pass it on to customer, like everyone else will.
BUT:
1) I refuse to register because like everyone else I am sick of being milked.
2) I love the thought of sticking it to this arrogant govt.
3) If our beloved govt could show me my bucks are going to benefit someone other than themselves, for example the poor like the guys who work for me (I pay above average wages, but they are still poor, compared to me, and I am dirt poor compared to the noveau riche ANC cronies) I would gladly pay... But we all know that ain't gonna happen.
4) I have authority issues  which is why I work for myself.

Here's the R1 000 000,00 question: are they going to throw all your bills against your licence, meaning you cannot renew it untill you toll fees have been paid? Because, SORRY TO SAY THIS, I cannot afford that, and in that case will simply have to register... :alvarin:

The queerying of each invoice sounds dandy, but let's face it, few of us have the time for such civil disobedience... I suppose it will only work if all gets on board with the plan. Let's hope so, coz I really do not :aggresive: want to end up with a massive bill in a year's time if I could have avoided it by simply registering an etag...
I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.

Known as "Defeating the ends of justice". For this they HAVE to arrest you and impound the vehicle which then becomes evidence. Next real question is do you want your pride and joy impounded? and will it still be in one piece when you get it back? I think not!!!

no number plate!! a fine and these days the piglets have heard all the BS and a long story!! they sometimes impound the bikes!!

modified number plate, defeating the ends of justice and a serious offense!! including arrest!!
hard core criminals do this to avoid attracting attention, hence why its taken so seriously!!

then on the tolls!!
part of the fuel price taxes was suppose to of been for building roads!! unless my memory if failing me!!
read recently something to this effect!! however the money is being diverted elsewhere!!
maybe places like inkandla buildings!! and escorting nunmber one's friends , let me stop this one here
or new planes for vvip

the license that we pay every year, was also suppose to of been to upkeep and build roads!!
where has that money gone!!
am lucky that I have alternative routes to get to work, however for how long!!
how long before those roads that have been there for many years become toll roads as well!!
the one highway that has become toll roads, is my preferred route!! will not use it!!

else where in the world such schemes has met with little approval and low usage rates!!

eish now this is getting me going!!
this is a few STEALING from the poor!! and this is not only about the etoli

let me go!! :surrender:

thought I had posted!! obviously not!! so here goes!!

CORRECT :shock2:

One of the guys in our club was en-route to a bike rally. About 10 guys in a row, going through Baufort West. TWO were pulled off at random .... This one gent sprayed some "stuff" on his number plate, and threw some dust on it .... though this would make him invisible to cameras ....

Friday afternoon just before 13:00 he was ARRESTED !! "Defeating the ends of justice"

By dumb luck he managed to get out on bail. Had this happened about 2 hours later he would have been locked up for the weekend !!

cost him a pretty penny in legal fees to finally get the case thrown out.

Now for some reality check -

Those overhead cameras have number plate recognition. Seconds after passing under a bridge they KNOW everything about you and your vehicles that is on ENATIS !! They also KNOW at that time if the registration number is "real" ..... now how much programming is needed to know at that instant that this particular number is illigal and passing through there daily ..... I would be mildly uncomfortable approaching the next off ramp with blue lights awaiting me IF I was to use "wrong" plates .....

I tend to agree with you Chris but I can't see that with the amount of traffic using the N1 that they will be able to control that. I am sure of the 1mil or so vehicles using the N1 daily at least 10% have either falsified registrations or NO registrations on and there are even a few such as mine who's front number plate is not visible unless you remove the spot lights. I have been stopped at numerous roadblocks and have never been reprimanded for that.

The point I am trying to make is that if they can't even control the normal traffic fines correctly then how on earth are they going to control the E-toll. I will continue using the N1 daily and will refuse to register with e-toll as I will not be bullied into funding this corrupt government. All the taxes and so on they already take is more than enough. Just another way to keep the greedy bast@rds pockets full with the HARD earned money us dumb fools work so damn hard for.
