Garmin relocation

Since early 2013 Garmin Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd (GSA), has embarked on a journey to streamline and improve our Customer Service operations. Our Technical Call Center and Repair Center have been centralized and we have signed Navworld (Pty) Ltd on as the Garmin Authorized Service Provider in South Africa. We are confident that Navworld will provide our customers with the same service they have become accustomed to over the past years.

This communication serves to notify you, our valued customer, that the Navworld Walk-in Service Center in Johannesburg will relocate on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2014. From Monday the 24th of February 2014 no walk-in customer service will be offered at our offices in Honeydew.

The new address for the Navworld Walk-in Service Center in Johannesburg is:

38 Langwa Street (previously 74),
c/o Malibongwe Drive & Hammer Ave,
Strijdom Park, Randburg, 2194.

Na baie lank se gewag op die foon ( praat mos met die masjien) en met 7 emails na 2 verskillende persone in 2 weke wag ek nog steeds vir enige terugvoer.

Ek kan seker nie kla oor die diens nie want daar is nie .........

ek is nie seker of navworld ooit by avnic sal kan kers vashou nie, is al deur avnic se tak in jhb en vele keer deur die kaapse tak gehelp, onmiddelik, sonder moeite en die eerste keer elke keer korrek.
sal maar na al die jare se lojale klient wees na ander opsies soos tomtom moet loer.....

Na nog n ronte emails en n pm na Pieter het ek toe n antwoord van garmin gekry.

Ek het niks met Garmin te doen nie! Ek het slegs hierdie epos gekry omdat ek by Garmin geregistreer is as 'n verbruiker. Hulle diens hier in die Suid-Kaap is ook pateties. Ek het gedink julle manne daar in die ou Transvaal gaan baie beter doen! Jammer man - dalk is hier iemand op die forum wat kan help..... Moet my net asb nie met Garmin assosieer nie - ek het net probeer help met die nuwe adres!

A friend and also a member on here had a battery issues with an old Tom Tom
their back up service was commendable

witch is a lot more then what I can say about Garmin, know the company in SA is called something else
when one calls no one knows what is going on and was working through a large retail shop also

they say so long and it takes twice as long

sadly for what we do its only Garmin that has suitable units

units are generally good, the back up in SA not so good

so agree with previous comments

For town navigation self have changed to using my Note 8 that runs Androids
Way better then any Garmin that I have ever used
traffic, GE
for off road, there are apps, however for off road still dependent on the Good Garmin

JAMMER PIETER DAT EK inchip !!!

Fernando, the only issue I have received from guys using it, is that it drain the battery fairly quickly - but then I put it on charge the whole time !
What shortfalls did you discover?
