Question for the IT specialists:
I am running Windows 7 and using ’Live ‘Mail’, if I install Office 36 will my Live Mail with all my e-mail files be safe? It wold be a disaster if I lost them!

Cassie and Thys are the IT boffs, maybe they can assist. I'm not familiar with neither Win 7 nor Live Mail, but I assume that there is a back-up facility. I would back them up or make a copy regardless.

Office 365 saves all your data in the "cloud"

Normally outlook will create a .pst that sit locally on your hard drive but with 365 its backed up onto Microsoft could service

here is a link where they explain a few things about office365

take it there MUST be a way to disable that ??

when you deal with clients that make you sign a non-disclosure agreement you cant risk your business on MS Security ....

I've steered away from Office 365 so my knowledge is very limited. If you use something like outlook to retrieve your mail from the cloud exchange server, you probably have a outlook.ost file and not outlook.pst.

All the files and emails are kept on the server with an offline version available from the .ost file.
