My SFA is due for a set of new tyres.
Size 31x10.5x15.
What tyres would you guys recommend and where would one go for the best price?
Pirelli Scorpion seems to be one of the best value for money tyres (R2050 / tyre). Any feedback on Pirelli's?

I would also like to see if there is any feedback from anyone that has fitted the Pirelli Scorpions, they look like good tyres, and were tops in the A/T tyre test posted here on the forum some time ago. At that price they are cheaper that the BFG's.
Im interested to fit a set to my Jeep once I get a spare set of 18" rims.
I think the Pirelli's show better tar handling and less road noise than the BFG's.

Fitted Scorpions to Swambo's ride over a year ago. Definitely less road noise and better tar road handling.
BF AT's except for the thicker sidewall are way over rated and over priced (imho)

Ek ry Pirelli muds en baie gelukkig, obviously het dit mos maar sy pad geraas. maar nie on menslik hard nie. ek sal beslis weer dit posit as ek moet kies vir my volgende stel. Probeer Hi Q in Porterville hulle maak plan vir baie goeie prys. R 1800 as ek reg onthou, so maand of 2 terug nog gewees.

He's wheel alignment is the most expensive I've come across and offers nothing better than a local Supaquick!

For ME the biggest problem is that Johan is not open on Saturdays - thus for my platcar I often try out other outlets ... 90% of the time I end up going back to Johan (during the week) to fix up what the others have messed up.


that said, Supa Quick in Durban road Bellville is the "best of the rest" in my book for SERVICE.

Ek stem saam m.b.t. Die prys vs kwaliteit werk. Johan se kennis oor suspesions maak dat hy probleme kan diagnoseer wst ander nie kan nie! As dit oor prys gaan, bel maar rond..... En vat jou kanse van daar af.

Persoonlik is doodgelukkig met kumho se bande. My skoonpa het op sy polo hulle padbande ook gesit, nadat hy gesien het hulle is nie so sleg soos partymense hulle probeer maak nie. JPF MOTORS in Goodwood gee my altyd goeie diens, en as daar n probleem is sorteer die eienaar dit onmiddelik uit!
