Hi Granr. Use these part numbers @ any toyota for the required parts. Torsion bar:pzn65d1033 and for the brackets use pzn65d1034

I found a site that sells these brackets and they in KZN. R 3.50 a bracket is not bad in my books.
Now just to find a bar.

If the bar that you speak of is the same as the way they used to do it long ago, then it's nothing more than a length of 10mm spring steel rod, slightly bowed with a short 90° bend at each end.
Find a place that makes up springs, they will have that stuff in stock, even bend it for you - probably at a fraction of the cost of getting from the stealers.

Re: Parts help for 2002 Hilux
The bar do not have 90 degree bars on the end, it is more like 110 degree bends.
The idea is that you have to bend the rod to get the end into the 90 degree brackets on the side and that is hat gives it the upwards bow shape.

Re: Parts help for 2002 Hilux
That's true, maybe not as much as 110°, but what really gives it the bow is that it should be about 12mm longer than the distance between the mounting brackets ... it's then forced to bow to get it to locate. The more it's over sized, the more it will bow when located.pietpetoors wrote:The bar do not have 90 degree bars on the end, it is more like 110 degree bends.
