New SARS boss and 4x4

In the article it mentions this:
Moyane now drives a government-sponsored Audi Q5, which at about R600 000 costs R200 000 more than the A4.
Moyane's office confirmed on Tuesday that he is driving a 4x4, and said it was because Sars had to investigate
smuggling across border lines and that several tax officials are working at border posts.

Surely you wouldn't expect the boss of SARS to go bundu bashing after some crooks across the border?
Now I am sure the Q5 is capable, but I doubt it is capable enough for cross border bundu bashing after tax evaders?

Users of Weibo, China's Twitter-like microblogging website, lambasted the state-owned Rucheng County water and electricity company general manager, Li Jianguo, and questioned how he could afford such an extravagant accessory.

The online brouhaha was brought to the attention of the local Communist Party of China (CPC) discipline watchdog, which responded by reviewing Li's finances.

The watchdog said it suspected Li had broken the law and violated Party regulations.

Other high profile officials have faced public scrutiny following the posting of photographs featuring them with luxury watches or even cigarettes on social media.

Had a Q5 in the Dunes yesterday. When are people going to learn? Just because it drives all 4 wheels does not mean it is a bundu basher?? This guy yesterday ruined his day, week and month. There was more plastic on the ground than at a Tupperware party gone wrong..

It could probably have been worse, he could have bought a more expensive 4 wheel driven roadcar... Nevertheless it is still a ridiculous expense..
