Die web based op tapatalk is my gunsteling. Ons almal weet wat die reels is en die mods doen goeie werk!

Op FB is dit egter 'n ander saak! As dit so aanhou gaan ek die Hilux4x4.co.za sticker van my voertuig afhaal! Netnou assosieer die mense my met die klub!!

Thys started it, but it is a big job, i think he should have used a different name, it does get out of hand easily, but most of the time he is part of the stirring.

You guys are way too sensitive.... One guy says *a* and you are up in arms... It happens here on this forum too... only difference is here we have a "Word Censor" that filters out any unacceptable words... On FB we dont.. The Admin team fulfills that role. That particular thread is now squeaky clean...

Are you guys insinuating that we dont have the best interests of the Hilux4x4 Forum or Club at heart? .... Kom se dit reguit in ons gesigte... Because the guys in that Admin team has worked non stop to clean up the group after its membership unexpectedly exploded out of control a few months ago, and was on its way to become a HUGE mess ... and I think you are being extremely unfair towards them. You need hair on your teeth and steel wool on your chest and I am proud of that team!!

Anyway, any of you guys who are not satisfied with how we run the Facebook page, are free to apply for the post of Administrator... But then you need to be committed to it 24/7... otherwise you are not helping..

Should have called it something else? Why? It was supposed to be an extension of this Forum? It is still a source of new members to the Forum and the Club...

FB is anders as hier, baie "karakters", jy kan baie aflei aan die taalgebruik en spelling, hulle vat alles persoonlik op, maar dis fun, ek wil net nie Thys se job he nie.

het so twee jaar terrug daar aangesluit - vir n klub wat slegs via FB kommunikeer ....

omtrent n jaar later lees ek hul weeklikse epos en dis dit.

Ek geniet die forum oor die algeheel baie meer as Facebook.

En ja, dit gaan lekker gerook somtyds, maar, dit het al baie kalmeer oor die algemeen.

Die ding is FB is nie kompetisie vir die Forum nie, die een is nie eers n extension van die ander nie.... Mense wat op FB uithang het ook n Hilux4x4 tuiste, en van daar word baie "gematigdes" na die Forum toe verwys en eventually in die Club opgeneem... dis net verskillende platforms wat op verskillende maniere operate, en wat elkeen n eiesoortige gehoor lok.... FB is soms opwindend, soms frustrerend, soms lekker en soms nie lekker nie.... maar dis NOOIT boring nie..... daar is altyd iets aan die gang... en dis gewis nie almal se koppie tee nie...

Facebook is entertaining op n weird manier. Meeste van daai kabouters sal ek nie in my vriendekring toelaat nie. Maar ek lag my kla as Thys stir en die lot val daarvoor.

Die forum ouens is die tiepe mense saam met wie jy kan gaan kamp, sonder dat jy hulle ooit persoonlik ontmoet het. Sout van die aarde.

Forum ouens is nice, forum is nice.
FB is lewendig, soms rof, maar Thys en span admins doen goeie werk om manne te kry om effe beskaafd te wees. Ek dink die FB blad is 'n goeie ding, want soos genoem, die nicer ouens daar word verwys na die forum, en so groei die forum. Die forum voel wel bietjie stiller, maar dis soos om huistoe te kom na die malligheid van die FB blad. Ek geniet die blad, en frankly stir self baie daar. Hierdie forum/club sal nie doodgaan nie, selfs al word dit stiller, want hier's te veel goeie info, lekker mense.
En as die FB blad nie jou koppie tee is nie, gryp 'n bier en bly op die forum.
Ek like altwee.

I have removed myself from a number of facebook likes that I feel have not maintained some type of standard content that I found acceptable. I think that it is a pity that the forum is linked to a facebook page, because FB is a whole different animal. Also saw a similar post on the Kagalagadi sightings page around Landrover, which I think doesn't belong on that page, it is about animal sightings in the Kagalagadi not about people that drive which vehicle. I think that if a facebook page cannot maintain the same standards of content as what the Hilux forum does then we should change the name or get more people to monitor it, or get out of it. I accept that Thys is doing the best he can, and this is no criticism of him, at all, but if it cant be controlled... then quite honestly I don't want to be associated with it. I am proud of the sticker I have on my bakkie for the Hilux club, and in spite of often having differing opinions on things over the years, on forum discussions, have never felt the need to disassociate myself with the club, BUT,....... I must agree with Johan if there is rubbish on FB I will take my sticker off my vehicle and no longer choose to be associated with the club at all... That "joke" is insulting in soooo many ways, to so many people, including the gay community.... It might be worth a watch for those people that are responsible.....

Dis vir my moer snaaks wat die ouens kwyt raak op die facebook blad... Ek gan haal gereeld n bak popcorn en lees die comments... Julle doen n moerse goeie job om die goed skoon te kry though... ek sou laaankal daai bollie gelos het...
