Howzit Guys and Ladies
I was away this weekend in Mpumalanga. and punctured my front wheel. The awesome jack that Toyota supply does not lift the car high enough to change the wheel!!!!!!!!

What jack would you suggest I purchase? Bearing in mind, that I don't want to have to go to a bank with a balaclava and a 9mm.

I was wondering 'bout the same thing this weekend.
Busy preparing for a long-ish trip in 2 weeks time, gave that oem jack one look and decided
it's not going to smoke the pipe.
Will be watching this space to see what the other guys says.
I Ended up by cutting 3 pieces of wood blocks from an old roof truss and threw it in there for what it's worth.

I broke mine by over extending it. So i am jackless

Also used to keep a block of wood behind the seat but haven't used the OEM since I carry a Hi-Lift in the vehicle full time. I think even the standard bottle jacks that you get at automotive outlets are short and intended more for cars and the like (1 - 3 ton). Then there are the bigger truck jacks (up to 10 ton) but they're ore for bigger trucks. I've never really looked, but they might carry an intermediate size for LDV's.

Maybe take some measurements for jack positions front and back (at the wheels under the suspension and not the body) and see what is available to fit.

Just a word of caution when jacking up on the back axle or front lower control arm, make sure that the jack head is in a place where it cannot dislodge or slip off. Better still is if the jack has a 'cup' type head.

I also have two pieces ofb38x50mm pine plank screwed together the car.
The soft pine works well as the jack goes into the wood and make slipping off less likely

10 ton bottle jacks are not too expensive at the spare shops and is much higher. Agree, use wood blocks for extra height.
