I should have added Phil Collins, UB40 to that list. There is so much good music... er... there WAS so much good music before the world was over-powered by RAP and 5FM rubbish.
Also:
Family Dogg (Ahem... Yes, there really is a group by that name. I often howl along to their music... ;) )
Robert Miles (Electronika)
Duran Duran
Huey Lewis & The News
Imagination - (Music & Lights)
Matt Bianco
Madonna (Not fond of her, but I do appreciate her music!)
Pet Shop Boys
Police
R.E.M.
Röyksopp - (So Easy)
Shania Twain
Simply Red
Smokie? - Hmm Questionable. I used to enjoy Smokie a lot until I bought their 10-CD box set. What a load of rubbish!

Status Quo
Steely Dan (Hey 19!!)
Toto
Wham
LOCAL:
Dr. Alban
Loyiso
Des & Dawn - who remembers them still??
Penny Croft
E'Void - (Shadows, Taximan...)
Now: Who here has ever heard "Blouwildebees" played by Russ Conway? Fabulous rendition of an excellent Nico Carstens song.
Anybody ever hear of the song "Fanagalo", by the Three Petersen brothers? Who has heard of Eve Boswell - Picking a Chicken, or Virginia Lee - Ek Sal Jou Nooit Vergeet Nie? What about The Loud, The Rising Sons, The Dealians, The Bats? A group called "Naked", performing a song of the same name. Who has heard Steve Kekana sing "The Bushman"? I sent this last song to an American Radio Station, and they raved about it! ;)
Aahhh... memories! :)
