had a little accident with my 4 year old on saturday.
wil net se mense jy dink hulle is groot maar hulle is nie en makeer lyding, ek het op die harde manier geleer. wees te alle tye met jou kind/ers as daar warm water betrokke is.
sy wou vir pappa help rooster ws en toe spat die water oor haar.

Ouch!! That looks sore, shame :blackeye: Fortunately it doesn't look too bad, should heal quickly :thumbup:

We also don't allow our 5 year old near hot water; but you have to repeatedly tell them as they don't listen. She's not allowed to even draw her own bath; pain in the butt but like you say, can't be too careful...

Eish... daai kon baie erger gewees het. Hoop alle wonde word 100% gesond.

Ons hou altyd burnshield by die huis en waar ook al ons kamp. My broer se meisie het die een keer getrip en met haar hand in die kampvuur geval. Ons het dadelik van daai burnshield gel goete op gesit en toe gedraai en sy het geen letsels oor gehou nie

JIP, burnshield is nou verseker op my medical lys van goed wat ek by my sal he. ja myne weet ook sy bly weg van warm water krane etc, maar n ongeluk gebeur darem wragtig vinniger as wat n mens besef. Ons tap ook ALLEEN hulle badwater, hulle kom eers in as dit klaar getap is. sh*t maar het ek geskrik hoor. Daai gil sal ek noooooit vergeet nie. Anyway ja die Dr's se daar sal nie permanente letsels wees nie oor ek ook gou genoeg die klere verwyder het en koue lappe opgesit het.

Dog ek moes net deel om te beaam hoe vinnig n mens vergeet hoe sag hulle ou velletjies nog is, self geyser water(54 grade) is te warm om direk op hulle ou velletjies te val.

So alles lyk darem al mooier van Saterdag af.

be CAREFUL of solar systems !!

The water in the tank reaches up to 90 degrees !!! I have seen water coming out of the tap at 75 degrees.

PS - there is a "post mixing valve" which ensures that the maximum water going to the tap does not exceed a set limit (by mixing cold water with the geyser water) - BUT most installations are done without this valve !!


PPS - so sorry that she got hurt, but glad that it seems to be temporary with no scaring expected.

Dit breek mens se hart as die ou kleintjies seerkry. Mens kan net dankbaar wees indien jy hulle groot kry in een stuk, want soos jy se "'n ongeluk gebeur vinnig" en gewoonlik op die mees onverwagte tye. Ek is nou te oud vir kinders grootmaak en het ook nie meer die "guts" nie. Sterkte.

Glad she wasn't hurt toooo badly.

As a father of 3, my youngest being 3 years old it is the worst feeling in the world when your kids get sick or injured
