been told by a very reliable source THIS is how you WIN the DAKAR :
- use the ever reliable HILUX
- but if you can only get Michelin tires for the Hilux, rather use a common mini ...

wel Michelin maak/versprei die BFG .... EN die bande het dieselfde tread patroon as die BFG wat ons koop ...
moes ver soek, maar die fotos wat die bande duidelik wys is almal Mchelin - vir 2014.
daar is fotos met BFG, maar dit was 2012 fotos ...

Het nou op nog 'n foto af gekom en dit lyk nogals of dit Michelin ook kon gewees het maar ek het nou op Michelin se website gaan kyk... hulle wys duidelik dat hulle die Minis se tyres gedoen het, orals fotos van hulle maar nie niks van die Hilux nie

Nou wonder ek net so bietjie, they did thousands of test km before the Dakar, did they not get flats on the test runs. Why did they not realise during the testing that the tyres are not up to scratch?

Pieter in the first two days a LOT of teams had issues they did not pick up in testing - mostly related to the extreme temperatures ....
nou wonder mens of die bande nie te warm geloop het nie ...
