Only if we all agree on it. I received confirmation from Nico at the Nissan4x4 club and they say we can count on them and they are in. Any of you guys have contacts at the other clubs? If everyone agrees here please ask them if they would be interested in taking part and start the same count? If you do not want to do it yourself, please pm me their e-mail addresses and I will send them an e-mail.

Was also thinking after reading Heinrich’s comment that it might be a good idea to firstly find out if WegRy/DriveOut would be interested in this project before we go to the radio. Might be a little early for that.
Speak to Alidaba, Gerrie (WegRy) and Neil Harris (can't remember his forum name) (SA4x4) and find out if they would be willing should we go ahead with this.

I met the guys from Nissan Club, Community Forum / Club and the Jeep Club last night and will be able to get there detail

oxydog wrote:No problem. I see you might be interested in doing that Bundu trail - that will be a great opportunity to speak to some of the guys on the Club's committee about this!
Now I was thinking the exact same thin but the problem is that my Surf might not be ready in time and I have been away so much over the last few weekend that I am sort of neglecting it. I will however try but if I do not make it, would you be willing to discuss it with them on our behalf? That is if you go???

So finally received some feedback from Guinness. Thwy have asked me to register a new world record attempt after which they will let us know what is required and needed to be done. They say this process takes about 4-6 week for them to come back to us.

On behalf of Ali3n... the reply from Guiness:
Claim ID: 407048
Membership Number: 355098
Dear
Mr Francisco Panaino,

Thank you for your application to attempt the record ‘Largest parade of 4x4 vehicles'.

The current record (current as at the date of this letter) is:
The largest parade of 4x4 vehicles consisted of 3,529 vehicles and was organized by 4Wheels Events (Puerto Rico) between La Milia de Oro and La Guancha in Puerto Rico, on 15 November 2009.

Attached are the Specific Guidelines which detail the rules and requirements which must be followed during the record attempt. It is your responsibility to ensure that all participants in the record attempt are aware of the contents of these Specific Guidelines.

Please be aware that these are the current Specific Guidelines and record you have to beat. However, you are responsible for obtaining the most up-to-date information on this record, as Guinness World Records will not directly inform you of any changes. Guinness World Records may update the Record Guidelines and a new record may be set at any time. We advise that you reconfirm the most up-to-date information before staging a record attempt.

Attempting this record

Once you have decided to attempt a record, you have two options:
• Hire a Guinness World Records adjudicator to attend and verify your record attempt live and on-site
• Document and compile evidence of your record attempt and submit to Guinness World Records for verification

When you hire a Guinness World Records adjudicator you have on-site support from one of our team of expert adjudicators. They attend your record attempt to ensure it adheres to the Record Guidelines and will, if successful, announce the new Guinness World Records title live at your event. Our adjudicators are experienced media commentators and can act as a Guinness World Records spokesperson at your record attempt to any radio, TV and newspaper journalists.

The presence of a Guinness World Records adjudicator is the only way you can immediately know whether your record attempt has been successful.

The Adjudication Service also gives you direct access to one of our expert Adjudication Managers, who will help you through the record application and planning process. The cost of the Adjudication Service starts from £4,500 and you are responsible for the transportation and accommodation for your adjudicator. For further details contact the team on: adjudication@guinnessworldrecords.com

Alternatively, you can document and compile evidence on your record attempt and submit it to Guinness World Records for verification. All the evidence that we require is detailed in the Specific Guidelines and the general evidence requirements are detailed in the Evidence Required document attached. The standard verification process takes 4-6 weeks and, if successful, Guinness World Records will provide you with a certificate commemorating your record-breaking achievement.

Should you wish to have your evidence reviewed more quickly then you can upgrade to Fast Track, which gives your evidence priority review within three (3) working days. You can upgrade to Fast Track at any time via this link: [URL].

If you are compiling your own evidence, this should be submitted, along with the completed schedules 2 and 3 of the ARRA, to our offices where it will be reviewed in a strict order of arrival:

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS LIMITED
3rd Floor
184-192 Drummond Street
London NW1 3HP
UNITED KINGDOM.

Please ensure that your Claim ID (above) is clearly marked on your package and all documentation.

Using the Guinness World Records logo

Anyone staging a record attempt can harness the power of the Guinness World Records brand name to promote their record attempt and raise awareness of their event by licensing our logo. The license of the Guinness World Records logo is included in the Adjudication Service, but this licensing service is available to everyone attempting a Guinness World Records title. To learn more about how you can make the most of your Guinness World Records title, please review the attached document.

Please note, written approval must be obtained from Guinness World Records Limited of any use of the GWR Trademarks prior to distribution or printing of any material which includes the GWR Trademarks.

If you have any questions regarding Specific Guidelines or evidence requirements then log in to: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/register/login.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and select your Claim ID. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY DIRECTLY TO THIS EMAIL AS THIS COMES FROM AN UNMONITORED EMAIL ADDRESS.

Alternatively you can contact our office in London on +44 207 891 4500 from 9.30 AM to 6.00 PM GMT.

We wish you the best of luck in your record attempt and we look forward to hearing from you!

Yours sincerely,
Ben Backhouse

Thanks Cassie.

So here is what I received. Now I don't see what they clasify as a 4x4 but it does however require that the vehicle must be licensed as well as the driver.

What do you guys think? All comments welcome please. I am forwarding all this info to the other clubs to get them jnvolved as well but I still feel this can be done.
