Hi there everyone!

I am planning to do a trip with a friend from Polokwane to Mozambique to Zimbabwe to Botswana to Namibia then to Transkei and then back to Polokwane.

I have 3 months available for the trip. I have never been to either of these countries before so not to sure where the best places will be to go to. I have a 2.7 4x4 hilux with a rooftop tent . I plan on camping pretty much the entire time.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Eric

Sounds like a very lekker trip!

Maybe drop down to Transkei first, then drive upcoast to Moz - just keep an eye on the politics and war in Moz.

Get copies of the first two Voetspore series, basically covers everywhere you want to go.

Baie dankie George! I like the idea of going to the Kruger first and use the same border crossing to give Maputo a miss. The rest of it also helps a lot thank you!

Thanks Thabogrobler, good option.

Thanks Donkey, I really like the group, I have actually been reading on here for a year, hahaha!
