the fish we catch here from richards bay north to ponta du oura are mostly game fish (palaegics) as bottom fishing is not allowed in the protected areas and us recreational anglers have a gentelmans agrement with ezemvelo to limit bottom fishing off stlucia and mapelane. we do take live bait off the inshore reefs if we can. the odd sailie that we catch are returned alive, the one here had it's gill plate ripped open by the lures back hook and died. the cuta you see here are rat fish there are plenty of decent sized cuta about with crocs of 30kg+ comming out often, for me 25kg+ yellow fin tunny gives you the best workout even on 20lb tackel

Looks Great Guys!!

A bit jealous actually.

Unfortunately we here in Nam do not have the pleasure of doing much off shore fishing as our ocean is not abundant in game fish (We only have snoek lol).

Im a Rock and Surf angler myself.

5 Consecutive years angling in our national team against the bokke.

I wan't to start dam and river fishing now as well.

Great pics

hello george the E Tec are the most fuel efficient 2 strokes you can buy we don't like 4 strokes(valves, timing belts, camshafts, wet sump bla bla) give me a good old simple 2 stroke, had plenty of yahama's very good motors very thirsty. also we get dealer discount

Uncle Dan, besides doing fishing charters, you also custom build fighting-chairs and other accessories?
If so, would you mind posting a couple of pics and maybe some contact details as well for those interested. There is a huge presence of the fishing community as well on this forum.

Thanx!

yes hans rory makes a good chair you do need a boat with enough deck space to mount it . I have been on trips were okes have fought big fish without a chair seldom do they finish the fight before giving the rod to someone else will post some pics

hi wayne lekker boat ski boating has become so expensive particulary fuel we also have a ski vee 14'6" that can be towed with a corsa bakkie just makes it more afordable jeez but you get wet, what is your clubs name do you fish mostly fresh water with the R rateing

Thanx, I'm not part of a club. Only fresh water with this one. It runs very shallow water, so its perfect for me, I like tiger fishing up on the zambesi river. Its got 30hp Evenrude etek so its very economical. As soon as I have space availibel to store it I would like to get a ski boat. One day
