What size if Fortuner Brake Master Cylinder?

Post by mmaaxx »

I hope somebody can help me here.

Im looking to upgrade the brake master cylinder on my hilux.

Currently my 2007 Hilux/Vigo has the standard brake master cylinder which is 13/16 size or (0.75")

I beleive the Fortuner has a 1" bore size in their master cylinder because they need the extra fluid pressure to run the rear disc brakes.

Can anybody confirm this for me?

Considering they are built on the same production line the two should be interchangeable.

Below is a picture of my mastercylinder....see how on the casting it says "13/16" depicting the bore size.

you help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou.

Max I see you from down under, and not sure of the specs there. In South Africa the Fortuner has disks up front and drums in the rear.
