I don't think many people can understand the bond between a man and his Hilux. For me, the world really just seemed right when I was driving my Hilux. People used to ask me when I'm going to buy another car, and I simply said, but why? So the fuel price goes up, and believe me, I struggle like most people to keep up with life these days. But paying 3 or 4 grand on a car every month just to gain an extra 3 or 4 km's per litre, and then you're in another car. It just didn't compute.

I wouldn't compare my loss with other forms of loss, but I am not doing well with this. I've never wanted so badly to see my Hilux upside down in a ditch so badly as I did on Saturday night when I was driving around looking for it!

Maar nou ja, di's moss die SA waarin ons nou lewe... (vloek!!!!!)

Sien, die *a* maak my net bang. Sterkte.

I know the feeling as it happened to me; if I could I'd take mine to bed with me.

Problem is that they are so easy to get into. Locked my keys inside last week when at Macro in Pietermaritzburg.
Went into the store and bought a cheap pair of pliers and a rool of wire. Took me about 4 minutes to get into the cab with no damage to rubbers or scratches to body work. An experienced thief could do it in seconds.
Besides possible loss of the vehicle, - do NOT leave anything of value in the cab.
A SFA Hilux is about as safe as a paper bag.
