Hi Conie. Sorry to hear about your bakkie.. I was lucky with mine as they tried to steel it 2 weeks after I bought it.. Thats the problem with driving the best bakkies in the world..

I wonder if your warrantee allows you to fit a hidden kill switch? For the next bakkie you buy..

And maybe a secrete hatch between the canopy and back seat that lets 2 rotweilers in when the bakkie starts up without a proper key...  :blackeye: :blackeye: :blackeye:

Thank you all.

Yes is suppose the d4d is long time gone in Mozam or in an Quantum...

Reflecting now i am very glad that we are save as cctv shows we have missed everything by 5 min.

Going forward what do I buy next??? I have grow up with Hilux'es...
My previous one was 4x2 and this one 4x4 and I loved it. Mileage was excellent for my driving style.
Need to consider family safety as well. But....me personally just want a Hilux and nothing else.

I will install a kill switch in future and would not care if the dealers will make it a warranty issue as it is not them that is effected by such an ordeal...

Ag nee man! Dis k$k!

Net n update,

Onthou minder as n minuut ......so moenie dink ek gaan net gou -gou dit of dat doen nie.

why did toyota decide that a sensor inside the vehicle is superfluous.

my RXI was broken into and the dude simply broke the window, climb thru it, and went about stealing the wireless without a care in the world.

They could maybe have alarm sitting in a blackbox type thing their use on planes connected to doors and this sensor, with it's own power supply. Rather than being able to get under the hood from bottom , especially with height of lux making it all too easy to cut wires.

So any attempt to get dongle in to reprogram, sensor will do it job.
