Cleaning a Cobb?
Hi
I realy enjoy coocking with the Cobb, but it is a bit of a pain cleaning the thing.Has anyone come up with a good solution yet.I am now thinking of covering up the bit where the fat drips into next to the coals with foil.

Re: Cleaning a Cobb?
The Cobb has three surface types:
Stainless Steel
All stainless steel components may be handwashed in hot soapy water, or they may be placed in the dishwasher. Steel wool and abrasive powder or pads may be used, except on the outside of the Dome Cover.
Plastic
These must be handwashed in hot soapy water with a soft brush or sponge. Do not use abrasives.
Non-Stick Coated Grill Surface or Skillet Accessory
Hot soapy water and a cloth or spoge must be used for cleaning this grill. It is also dishwasher safe. As with other teflon-coated items, great care should be taken with this surface. Never use sharp utensils or abrasives in this surface.
BEFORE EACH USE:
Spray inside the Entire Moat with Cooking Spray
Reason: Dripping from fatty foods collect in the moat. They will not flare up but may char and stick from being next to the charcoal. Spray makes cleaning easy.
Spray inside of Dome Cover with Cooking Spray
Reason: Smoke and grease from fatty food collect inside of dome cover to retain cooking temperature. Spray makes cleaning easy.
Spray both side of the Grill Rack with Cooking Spray
Reason: Already non-stick surface, but cleaning is even easier.

Re: Cleaning a Cobb?
I always line the mout with foil, it works like a charm, just be carefull not to let the foil cover the side of the little grid in which you place the coals otherwise the fire does not get enough oxygen.
My favourite use of the Cobb is to place some of these Mccaine's steam it veggies inside the mout and then fry chicken on top with a nice marinade and then the veggies cook in the sauce dripping into the mout from then top.
